In some ways, it seems like only yesterday, but do you remember that it was 2 years ago this week that our City first went into lockdown and our strange new pandemic lifestyle began? And with what seems like years of constant, surreal news cycles, we now watch astounded by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. We hope for a quick end to the senseless bloodshed with Ukraine’s sovereignty and democracy strengthened.
Despite all that is happening globally, the San Francisco housing market remains unfazed with high demand while inventory is near all-time lows. So far, buyers do not seem to be significantly rattled by stock market gyrations and the prospect of rising interest rates is definitely motivating some to buy sooner rather than later. For several years we’ve seen a recurring trend that buyers jump back into the market to start the year much faster than sellers. With demand dramatically outpacing supply, market frenzy is much more pronounced to start 2022. Of course, we will learn more once the spring selling season – typically the biggest of the year – really gets underway, and we will be ready! If you are a buyer looking to hedge against inflation, San Francisco real estate is a great place to invest as home prices are not expected to take a steep dive any time soon. If you are thinking about selling, there has never been a better time!
Below check out a recap of the San Francisco market performance as well as a recap of some of our recent sales, upcoming listings and tips! Don’t miss, fun things to do in the Bay Area, and our team’s pick of the month!
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any local real estate-related questions. If you need help outside San Francisco, we also have an amazing network of great agents that can help you, your friends, and family with real estate needs nationwide.

Inventory Levels remain low – generally, anything under a 2.5 to 3 month supply of inventory is considered a “seller’s market”
Houses continue to sell significantly faster than condos
Overbidding continues in both condos and homes but is significantly higher in home sales
KITCHENS TO DIE FOR!
The heart of every home is definitely the kitchen, and we have had some beauties this year! If you are considering selling your home, sprucing up your kitchen can be an easy and great place to see a significant ROI! In fact, according to Remodeling magazine’s 2021 report, a mid-range kitchen remodel in California could get you up to a 75% return on your investment! While you may not need to do a complete remodel and put in the kitchen of your dreams, simple upgrades like new hardware, changing out light fixtures, and painting cabinets might just do the trick! And we’re not the only ones that think so, read more about kitchen features that do and don’t add value

Welcome back to the cocktail heatmap, where drinkers can expect inventive takes on classic cocktails, unique spirits, garden-inspired ingredients, and all the latest in beverage trends. The pandemic interrupted and complicated many new openings, but bars are back, and if there’s one thing San Franciscans require with all this new variant news, it’s a damn good drink.
San Francisco’s Salesforce Park is an amazing modern marvel in the Financial District, resting 70 feet above the street atop the Salesforce Transit Center, and it’s completely free and open for the public to visit at any time. It also hosts a collection of free events every week, including yoga classes, bootcamps, live music, bird walks, garden tours, drum circles, and much more. If you have yet to visit, consider checking out their event calendar for a one-of-a-kind experience.
One of Alla’s favorite styles of cuisine is anything that is Asian inspired and her latest love is SAN HO WON a Korean, charcoal BBQ restaurant located in the Mission District of San Francisco. The restaurant opened in the fall of 2021 and is a collaboration between Corey Lee and Jeong-In Hwang.
Although both chefs have a background in fine dining, they shared a vision for a casual Korean restaurant that uses the best ingredients and meticulous techniques with real BBQ cooked over proper charcoal. What could be better than chefs that make fine dining accessible to all?!
